Pork Chop Supreme

Here’s a classic recipe for Pork Chop Supreme:

Ingredients:

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until they are softened and lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce. Spoon some of the sauce over the pork chops.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Once the pork chops are cooked, remove the skillet from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve the pork chops with the creamy sauce spooned over the top.

Enjoy your Pork Chop Supreme with your favorite side dishes, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a green salad.
